9) Rahman on Patriotic mood

I have come across many music directors of India, only few of them got opportunity to work with big and thought provoking projects, Rahman has always balanced his musical compositions on a wider perspective, rather than to just be a ruler of a stray land , I think he wants to be an emperor. The variety that he can handle is amazing. He can do a musical for Lord of the rings or can be so folkish with Sangamam, be so western with "Boys", can pep up with chaiya chaiya, harmonise you with "Nahin Samne" from Taal, can create goose bumps with "Tamila Tamila", can be so classical with "Minsara poove" give Punjabi style like "Rang De Basanthi", can synthesize with "Pudhu vellai Malai". He has worked with great directors our country has ever seen, his best performances are for Manirathnam(Guru, Dil Se, Roja), Ram Gopal Verma(Rangeela,Daud), Rajeev Menon(Minsarakanavu,KK), Subhash Ghai(Taal,Kisna), Shyam Benagal(Bose,Zubeida), Deepa M...

Three methods of Vipassana Meditation There are three ways of doing Vipassana . We shall discuss each one by one. 3) Breath Mastery - Vipassana

Breath Mastery - Vipassana , Breathing is the only companion who stays with us from the start of our journey into this earth to the final moments of our life. What looks so simple is the most wonderful solution for all th eporblems in this world. When when is aware of his breath he would know that, why one behaves in this world is al connected with the way we breathe. When one is happy he would have a deep breath, and full breath. When one is depressed he would have a shallow breath. Well various sects preach to focus on the breath, the reason is generally not stated. The breath is the bridge between the body and soul. 2) What can a thought do to you ??

This will begin to give you some deeper insight as to the power of thoughts. Stop and think for a moment about the different people in your life. Your family, friends, colleagues, people you work with etc. By listening to what they say, you can come pretty close to determining what their predominant thought patterns are and begin to develop a deeper understanding of how the power of thoughts fit in to each individual circumstance. In thinking about each of them individually, do you know anyone that constantly communicates a lack of money? If you do, I'd be willing to base my reputation on the fact that they don't have enough. That is the power of thoughts in action. Do you know of anyone that continually talks negatively about a specific relationship that they are in? Again, I can assure you that the relationship is lacking in some way. That too is the power of thoughts in action. Now think about someone who constantly talks about being ill. You bet, they are ill a gr...

1) THE POWER OF THOUGHT

Image
There are some who through life's experience have learned that thought has power, and there are others who wonder sometimes whether this is really so. There are also many that approach this subject with the preconceived idea that even if every thought has a certain power, yet it is limited. But it would be no exaggeration to say that thought has a power, which is unimaginable; and in order to find proof of this we do not have to go very far. Everything that we see in this world is but a phenomenon of thought. We live in it, and we see it from morning till evening, and yet we doubt if it is so. It shows that this, our beautiful world, itself gives us a pride and vanity, making us believe that we understand things better than we do. The less a person believes in the power of thought, the more positively he thinks he stands on the earth. Nevertheless, consciously or unconsciously he feels his limitation, and searches for something that will strengthen his belief in thought. In poin...
